11th annual county wide festival for high school students ages 13 through 17 at Kiwanis Island Park. Click for more information and event updates.

 

Did You Know the Traveling Skate Park is an outdoor skate park with ramps of all styles, including two ¼ pipes, pyramid, two kick ramps, fun box, grinding wall, and three rails. Skatelite covers all of the ramps. A 44-foot trailer transports it to selected sites througout the county.

A.C.T.—Active Community Teens

Young adults, serving as members of the A.C.T. Board, plan special events and programs for teens, children, and adults in the Port St. John Area. The Board welcomes individuals interested in development of new programs and ideas. For information, volunteer opportunities, and meeting times, call Dan Cook at the Port St. John Community Center, 321-633-1904.

T.A.P.—Teen Advisory Program

High School Students’ Recreation Board Sponsored by Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department at middle and high schools in Central Brevard to organize teen activities and help students earn volunteer hours for School Credit and Bright Futures Scholarships. This program also offers teens career/college guidance as well as tutoring and mentoring.

To earn volunteer hours and get involved in the T.A.P Program, teens meet at their local middle and high schools to help develop activities and ideas for their community.
